Youth Letters

Each day, officers interact with young people who would tremendously benefit from getting involved in city sport and youth programs.  Your donations  give our police officers the ability to give scholarships and form a positive image with young people in our city and to make a difference in their lives.  Here are just a few quotes from the thank you notes that were sent to our Upland Police Officers from the youth they sponsored:

 

"To a very special Officer, ... Because of what you did for me you have made it possible for me to play the game that I really love...This is my first time playing football on a real team...you should have seen how excited I was when I heard you had done this for me.. I am so excited to be on a real football team instead of just having to watch and it makes me feel proud. I just wanted to let you know how happy you made me. Thank you very much."

 

"I am writing you to thank you for sponsoring me. I am a teenager looking for something to do with time so I could stay out of mischief....I like to let you know that my team is in first place and hope to stay undefeated in the playoffs."

 

"I would first like to say THANK YOU. ...I never played baseball until now. I hope to be able to play again next season. Maybe you could come watch us play...Thank you"
